Good Friends Are Worth Their Weight In Gold
But first — a story about some very special people, friends who are worth their weight in gold.
In 2021, I shared on social media that Michelle Weber Studio and I were going to begin working on a book titled “Faith, Family, Freedom,” and we were looking for sponsors to help us offset the cost of production.
In less than a minute after I posted our project online — we received our first donation. From a guy named Chris Earl.
When his sponsorship came in, I thought to myself, “WHO is this cowboy from New Mexico?”
A few months later, I finally had the chance to find out. Chris was passing through Mitchell on his way to a bull sale, and I took him to my church and a local coffee shop for our first meeting. An odd meet and greet for most, but I can’t think of a better way to start a friendship than by celebrating our shared faith.
We quickly realized how aligned we were on faith, family values, politics, and cattle industry issues, and Chris has become a huge encouragement and mentor to Tyler Radke and I as we navigate these years with young kids, building a cattle business, and me being on the road so much speaking.
And I count it as a great honor and privilege to have gotten to know Chris and his wife Krista and the rest of the Earl family in the last couple of years.
God has a way of bringing the right people into your life when you need it most.
