Give Thanks In All Circumstances
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1Thessalonians 5:18
It isn't all sunshine and roses over here on the ranch.
Contending with the mud and snow during calving season wears on even the toughest among us, and for many, the worst of it is just getting started.
We are juggling a lot of balls in the air this week -- homeschooling, chores, several projects moving all at once, and today, I'm leaving for a 5-day trip, with 5 speeches booked in 3 states.
I always joke that for the mom to leave on a trip takes an act of Congress, but we make it work around here, despite the craziness!
Today, I'm giving thanks for every circumstance, every challenge, every unexpected curveball, and every pitfall that comes may way. It is my constant prayer that I am able to continue to pick up my cross and follow Jesus, no matter how heavy the load may feel. And through it all, may I find rest and solace in Him.
Today, I give thanks for healthy children, a happy family, a wonderful husband, the roof over my head, the food in my kitchen, and the land and livestock we are blessed to care for.
Today, I pray for clear, safe roads to travel on, and I pray for all of the people I will soon be meeting at these events. May our time together be fruitful and a blessing for all.
Today, I pray for those who are struggling, and those who are facing impossible hardships. I pray for those who feel alone, or who aren't sure what the future holds. I pray they know Jesus loves them in the valleys and on the mountain tops. He is always there.
Today, I am committed to finding the JOY in everything -- the good, the bad, the ugly. And I challenge you to do the same.
