An Evening On The New Mexico Desert: The Fight For Ranching Families Continues
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6-19:21
It’s hard for me to put into words how blessed I am to have people in my life like Chris and Krista Earl. The Bible verse above is the motivation behind their operation, Reverse Rocking R Ranch, and it's evident they live it each day.
I admire and value so much their commitment to their faith, family, community, and the cattle business. Their guidance, wisdom, spiritual maturity, and mission in life is incredible, and being around their beautiful family just makes you want to be a better person.
And what a true gift it is to not only have their friendship, but to have their support, as well. The Earls are a sponsor of my children's book, "Faith, Family, Freedom," and I am forever grateful!
Last night, I had the great honor of speaking at their customer appreciation night at the Reverse Rocking R Ranch. The Earl family and their crew hosted an awesome event on the desert, complete with great food, music, and fellowship.
They have a talent of bringing good people together and creating a community and family culture that I believe this country needs to get back to.
I know I’m gushing, but I was touched to be a part of this event, and I truly felt at home among the salt-of-the-earth people I had the great fortune to meet in New Mexico. I loved it so much, I almost want to relocate the fam and cattle to the desert! (Almost…Ha!)
The take home from last night is this: the future of America starts at home — with the nuclear family standing strong against the evils of this broken world. And I would argue that production agriculture is the perfect setting for raising the next generation.
We aren’t just raising cows out here in the flyover states; we are raising leaders with the fortitude and values to guide this county in the future.
God bless these American ranching families, who love the land, the livestock, and this nation we call home. I’m so thankful to be fighting for our way of life and our heritage alongside you!
