We Can Do Hard Things

What an honor it was to spend Independence Day just outside Mount Rushmore alongside 1,000 beautiful nation-loving, God-fearing Americans!
I'll never forget watching my daughter lead the Pledge of Allegiance and having my children alongside me as I talked about my commitment to doing my part to preserve our faith, family, and freedom.
There is much at stake in this country right now, and the nuclear family is very much under attack. Yet, I would counter that the most powerful people in this nation aren't elected officials and the folks in Washington, D.C. The most powerful people in the United States of America are moms and dads who say, "Enough is enough. This 'new normal' is not what I want for my family."
So we stand. And we stand firm. And we shine a light where darkness festers. And we lead with kindness, fairness, and our Christian faith. And we teach our kids to love God, country, and their neighbors. And when it gets hard and we get knocked down, we stand back up, and we do it all over again. Not for us, but for our kids, our grand kids, and generations ahead we'll never meet.
We must teach our children that our freedoms and liberties don't come from the government; they come from GOD. To protect our God-given rights as individual citizens, we must put on the ARMOR of GOD and be willing to fight for what is right.
No matter what challenges you face or what dragons you must slay to protect your kids, your family, your homes, and your American dreams, know that together (with our Armor of God in place) WE CAN DO HARD THINGS!
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” - Ephesians 6:10-18
